Toruń Główny Train Station

Kujawska 1     more than a year ago
Toruń Główny train station is the main railway station of the city of Toruń. First built in 1861 and receiving it's current look 13 years after, it underwent renovations in 2015 and is now receiving more than 2 million people every year. Train enthusiasts will be interested to know that a TKh49-5564 Steam engine is permanently 'plinthed' to a track as a display for tourists. Visitors heading to Toruń's historic centre should note that Toruń Miasto is, in fact, the closer station, and may consider looking for a direct connection. The main station's location on the southern bank is a 35-minute walk to the Old Town Market Square, crossing over J Piłsudski Bridge and providing nice views along the way. The Kępa Barazowa nature reserve is also nearby.
