Lubuskie Wine Centre

  ul. Winiarska 1, Zabór      (+48) 68 320 01 12     more than a year ago
An ideal first stop on any regional enotour, the Lubuskie Wine Centre was opened in 2015 alongside the 33ha ‘Collective Vineyard’ - essentially a community garden for grape-growers, located just east of Zielona Góra in Zabór on a south-facing hill that rises between 67 and 105 meters above sea level. At the base of that plum position, the centre itself is dedicated to promoting the region's traditions of grapevine cultivation and wine production, as well as integrating the many vineyards across Lubuskie and assisting in developing their tourism potential. As such, its a resource for locals and visitors alike, with three main areas inside: the multimedia room for training, lectures or presentations; the exhibition room for introducing visitors to the history of the Lubuskie wine industry and its recent revival; and the production and demonstration room, where actual wine production takes place, in addition to charts that explain the process. Audioguides can take you through the centre in English, Polish and German, and check their FB to try and time your visit with one of their wine-related events. All that's missing is a collective wine shop.
