Honouring the iconic late jazz singer Thandi Klassen, this not-to-be-missed concert brings together Klassen’s close friends and iconic singers in their own right, Abigail Kubeka and Dorothy Masuka.

Singer Dorothy Masuka first rose to fame in the 1950s before spending 31 years in exile due to the politically conscious nature of her music that openly challenged the Apartheid government. In her prime Masuka was held as Dolly Rathebe’s rival and was one of the top pin-up and glamour girls in South Africa.

Singer, actress and musical arranger Abigail Kubeka rose to fame at the tender age of 16, when Miriam Makeba noticed her talent and invited her to join her group The Skylarks.

The pair are joined at this special performance by a 12-piece band and together they promise to take the audience on a glorious trip down memory lane.
