This big time music event kicked off in Poznań in 2023 and has become akin to Poland's version of South by Southwest, which seems to be the model they are following. Over three days the city of Poznań is full of dozens of concerts by both Polish stars and fledgling artists trying to catch their big break in front of the music industry execs, record label reps, talent scouts, journalists and thousands of music creators and fans on hand. Both a showcase festival for musicians and a conference bringing together representatives of all aspects of the music industry, Next Fest is a great opportunity to hear new and established bands, learn about industry trends, and network within the industry. In the winter before the spring festival, an open call is held online for musicians interested in particpating, and anyone involved in the music industry is invited to become a delegate. Taking over the legacy of a previous festival called 'Spring Break,' Next Fest has adopted the slogan, 'Make Spring Great Again,' which belies some really poor decision-making in our opinion, but putting that aside, this is one of the most exciting new music festivals in Poland.
